a little lake love

I am a desert girl through and through. That's no secret! I love fresh water--lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, creeks, waterfalls. If it's fresh, I'm a fan! As beautiful as oceans and seas are, their depths, their dark abysses, and numerous deadly fish terrify me quite terribly. They haunt my dreams. It is an absolute joy to boat, swim, and play in Utah's fresh water!
We didn't go to Lake Powell this year. Lake Powell is, without a doubt, one of the world's most beautiful places!

Even though we didn't make the trek to Powell we enjoyed days on the lakes much closer to home. We spent a fabulous day at Deer Creek. We boated, free boarded, surfed, skiied, swam, picnicked, and loved every minute! We had quite a crew...obviously!

Notice the snow in the background...amazing!

We had way too much rope.
Mom's our rope gal
but she was on the shore with the kiddos.
The rope was ridiculously long for my first run.
We figured it out quickly...duh!

We played at The Grotto and at Payson Lakes---

My fair Utah
and blessed Baums,
I'll miss you!

Till Christmas.....
